James City County, Va. – A truck carrying produce overturned this morning on Route 199 eastbound in James City County, between Richmond Road and Olde Town Road.

It happened at 7:45 a.m.

The produce did not spill onto the road; it was contained inside of the truck.

The truck turned over onto its side and sustained minor damage.

One gallon of diesel fuel spilled onto the road, and was contained by the fire department.

Both eastbound lanes are blocked. Traffic is expected to be blocked for an extended period of time for anyone heading towards Longhill Road and Monticello Avenue, and points east from Lightfoot, officials say.

The driver of the truck has minor injuries and is being treated.
