Perdue has recalled 15,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets that could contain pieces of plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Wednesday.

The recalled products include 8-ounce boxes of Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets and were sold under establishment number P2617.

The boxes have a “best before” date of 02/05/15 and were shipped to retailers across the country.

Perdue discovered the problem after receiving complaints about pieces of plastic in the product.

No injuries have been reported.

The product has been removed from store shelves, however, there is concern some customers may have the frozen product in their possession.

Anyone with questions about the recall should call 1-(800) 587-5858.
