Man wanted for grabbing woman’s buttocks at Newport News Walmart

Newport News, Va. – Police are looking for a man wanted for a sex assault at a local Walmart.

On July 13, 2014, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 12400 block of Jefferson Avenue (Walmart) in reference to a sexual assault.

Officers met with a 23-year-old Newport News woman who reported that an unknown man walked passed her as she was exiting the store and grabbed her buttocks, police say.

The investigation is ongoing.

  • Let's be real, here....

    I’ll tell you one thing-if he’d done that to me, I’d have raised such a hue and cry, they would have heard me all the way in the back of the store. I wonder if the woman he grabbed had any sort of immediate reaction-called for help, screamed, etc.?
    Maybe they just didn’t bother to include her reaction in the article, but it doesn’t seem like a normal reaction to me-makes me wonder if we’re getting the whole story here.
