Virginia Beach, Va. - Star of the Sea Catholic School located in the 1400 block of Pacific Avenue, suffered some damage during Thursday's storms.
The school lost its roof and gym windows during the tornado, NewsChannel 3 has learned.
The National Weather Service has confirmed a weak tornadowas one of three weather events that caused damage in Virginia Beach yesterday.
The EF-0 tornado never actually touched the ground, but moved in a straight line just above the ground like many weak tornadoes, according to Bill Sammler with the National Weather Service.
The twister damaged a house behind the Star of Sea School on 16th Street and traveled to the Dolphin Inn at 17th & Atlantic.
