A baby dolphin was rescued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on the Fourth of July – and it was all captured on video.
Beachgoers spotted the four-foot mammal struggling near the shore of Redington Beach after beaching itself. Bystanders tried to get it back into the deep water, but the current was too strong, officials said.
The dolphin struggled until the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrived and carried it out of the surf. They are now caring for it at the nearby Clearwater Marine Aquarium, according to a report from Fox 31 in Denver.
