Several injured after Suffolk dump truck involved in accident

Suffolk, Va. – Three people had to be taken to the hospital after a city dump truck was involved in an accident in Suffolk on Wednesday.

This happened in the 1800 Block of Bridge Road/Route 17. Right now, one lane of Northbound Bridge Road will be closed for a few hours as crews work to clear the scene.

Suffolk dispatch was notified at 2:18 p.m. about the accident.

The city says one person was in a personal vehicle and there were two people in the dump truck at the time.

They all reported minor injuries and were taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center.

    This is the second accident involving a dump truck in this area. They drive too fast on the roads.
