Strawberry picking is always popular in the spring — but what about peaches in summer?

Did you know you can go peach picking in Hampton Roads?

Here is a list of places that offer peach picking:

Martin Farms Vineyard and Orchard, Knotts Island, N.C.

Bush Neck Farm, Williamsburg – Picking begins around July 1

Mount Pleasant Farms, Chesapeake – Peach picking only offered during Peach Festival, July 18-20

Cullipher Farm Market  in Virginia Beach has fresh peaches from South Carolina – but they do not offer picking.

Wood’s Orchards, Hampton – Not open yet for picking – but check for updates on their Facebook page, or call.

More information on peach picking can be found on MyActiveChild.com.

Remember, make sure to confirm and check in with the farm for updates via phone, Facebook, or on their website before heading out due to picking conditions and supply.
