Virginia Beach officer injured after crash with another vehicle

Virginia Beach, Va. - A Virginia Beach officer was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after a crash with another vehicle.

Officer Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department says this happened at the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd. and Independence Blvd. at around 6:46 p.m.

The officer who was driving the marked police car was responding with emergency equipment to a call for service to help another officer.

The officer involved in the crash was taken to the hospital complaining of minor injuries. The officer was taken in for evaluation.

The driver of the other vehicle also complained about minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

This accident is still under investigation.

    I witness that accident I was in the left hand turn lane and it was absolutely horrible I have my own opinions on the way the police officer handled his crossing the intersection on a red light I had a bad feeling before the accident even happened
