87-year-old woman killed after swiping tractor trailer, hitting pick-up truck on U.S. 460

Windsor, Va. – A woman has died after State Police say she swiped a tractor trailer and hit a pick-up truck on U.S. 460 on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were notified about the incident at around 2:14 p.m.

They say the 87-year-old woman was going westbound in a 2000 Honda Civic when she crossed the double solid lines and swiped an International Tractor Trailer that was going in the opposite direction. The driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as Matthew D. Labarge of Norwalk, Wisconsin.

After hitting the tractor trailer, police say the woman the spun out of control and hit a 2003 Ford 150, driven by Donald Morfefi of Zuni. He was also going eastbound.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
