Accomack middle school student arrested for contaminating teacher’s water

A 13-year-old student in Accomack County was arrested this week after being involved in an incident that caused a teacher to fall ill and become hospitalized.

According to the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report on May 13th that a Nandua Middle School teacher had become ill after drinking water that she had left unattended in her classroom.

The teacher went to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

As a result of an investigation into the incident, a 13-year-old female student was identified and arrested.

The girl has been charged with Adulteration of Food, Drink, Drugs, Cosmetics, Etc.

She has been transported to the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
