Today we proudly honor Major Gary Stanley.
He served in the united states army for 20 years as a helicopter pilot.
Major Stanley did two tours of duty in Vietnam in 1968 and 1970, and over the course of his military career earned numerous awards, including a bronze star.
He retired in 1986 while stationed at Fort Monroe, then went on to serve 27 years in the private sector.
Major Stanley is 70 years-old and recently retired from the private sector.
His family says they are so proud of him and his dedication to our country.
