Virginia Beach, Va. – According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Shawn Spencer sold drugs that led to overdoses of students at First Colonial and Cox High Schools in Virginia Beach.

Documents say a witness came forward and told police that Spencer was selling large quantities of heroin and other drugs including cocaine causing the overdoses.

Another witness told police that he told Spencer that the drugs were stronger than usual.

Police searched Spencer's house and a "stash house" and found large quantities of drugs.

Spencer pleaded guilty on Tuesday and is facing up to 40 years behind bars.

He will be sentenced in August.
