Former NewsChannel 3 anchor Juliet Bickford was sentenced in federal court Tuesday for making a false tax return.

Bickford will serve one year's probation, plus pay a $500 fine, $10,000 in restitution and 200 hours of community service.

Bickford entered a plea of guilty to the charges in January.

The tax charges came to light as part of an investigation into an international fraud scheme.

The federal government says Bickford's former boyfriend was the mastermind. Bickford has not been charged in that case and has cooperated with the government.

For the first time, Juliet Bickford is telling her side of the story.
