He does not get out much because of his weak immune system but this weekend 7-year-old David Spisak enjoyed a parade for his birthday.

David was diagnosed with leukemia at age two.

But while he may not be able to play like other children he has learned to play the drums, something he got to hear as the Norfolk State University marching band came out for his big day.

Roc Solid helped organize the parade. The nonprofit builds hope for children battling cancer.

The parents are best friends of mine, and David is my godson. <3

The family is still in a financial hardship due to David's medical issues (2nd time with cancer, bone marrow transplant, back and forth to Duke hospital, and tons of days/nights/weeks at CHKD).

Please donate even a dollar to their youcaring page. Everything is appreciated!! David just turned 7.. just think of what your kids are doing at 7.. David is sitting inside, and watching movies, etc. Help make his home more comfortable, since mom can not work still (and is looking at atleast 8-12 more months before she can work, and not have to be with David 24/7.
