The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is currently performing night work in the roadway lanes of Chesapeake Channel Tunnel.

The CBBT will be alternating traffic in the tunnel lanes Sunday evenings thru Friday mornings as work is performed between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Be advised that lane closures may extend beyond 6 a.m. due to unexpected work conditions. Travelers should expect delays.

This work is part of the current Tunnel Repaving Project that is being performed by Conrad Brothers of Chesapeake, VA.

The milling and paving portion of the project, which includes milling the existing pavement off and then repaving directly behind the milling process, commenced on April 22, 2014 and is expected to continue through May 30, 2014.

Thank you in advance for your patience.
