UPDATE: Man turns himself in for robbery of Portsmouth 7-Eleven

UPDATE: 45-year-old Joseph C. McDaniels of Portsmouth turned himself into police Tuesday morning. McDaniels has been charged with one count of Robbery and is currently in the custody of the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office.

Portsmouth, Va. – Have you seen the man in the photo? If so, police could use your help to identify him.

They say he walked into the 7-Eleven in the 4000 block of George Washington Highway just after 6 a.m. on Saturday and asked an employee for change for a $20.

Once the employee tried to get change, they say he reached across the counter, pointed a box cutter at the employee and grabbed money from the employee’s hand.

Police say he was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark gray hooded jacket, a dark shirt, black skull cap with gray stripes and sandals.
