Jackson, Mich. – A Michigan judge didn’t hold back when a convicted killer became defiant in his courtroom.
31-year-old Camia Gamet was given a life sentence Wednesday for the murder of her boyfriend Marcel Hill two years ago. It was “one of the worst cold-blooded murders” Judge John McBain said he had ever seen.
At the sentencing, members of Hill’s family spoke and Gamet was seen rolling her eyes and snickering. Gamet even interrupted Hill’s aunt and said, “Is that it?”
That set off McBain.
“You’re going to shut your mouth or I’m going to have some duct tape put on it,” he said.
“You were relentless. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed until he was dead. … I hope you die in prison. If this was a death penalty state, you’d be getting the chair.”
Gamet’s defense team says she acted in self defense.
