Family displaced after a fire in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. –  A family of five have been displaced after a fire damaged their condominium in the Bowers Hill community.

Chesapeake Fire Department responded to the fire at 1:52 p.m. in the 4000 block of River Breeze Circle.

According to officials, once they arrived they found a bedroom on fire inside of a two-story detached condominium.  The fire was contained to the bedroom but the rest of the house suffered smoke damage.

There were no reported injuries. At this time the cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
