Williamsburg, Va. - A 36-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police responded to a suspected meth lab at his home.

It happened around 10 a.m. when Williamsburg Police executed a search warrant at a home located at 224 B Virginia Avenue for suspected meth manufacturing with the assistance of Virginia State Police and the Williamsburg Fire Department.

The neighborhood is located across the street from the College of William & Mary campus.

Tyson Keala Hanna was arrested for manufacturing meth and taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where he is being held without bond.

Williamsburg Police began investigating this incident in mid-March when they received an anonymous tip about the possible manufacturing of meth at the home.

That person told investigators that Hanna's mother was noticing residue on her cookware and that her son was using the stove.

With a history of drug use and possession of meth, Hanna's mother became worried. And with young children living in the apartment downstairs, so did the third party citizen who then reported it to police.

According to a search warrant filed in circuit court, since Hanna moved in six months ago, he and his mom have made more than 20 purchases of Sudafed and generic brands of a key ingredient in making meth.
