David Faggert and his wife gave $20,000 to Virginia Beach school students in need, but the Chesapeake couple doesn't want attention.

"You had to twist my arm to get me in this chair," Faggert said.

The Faggerts donated to the Virginia Beach school's Beach Bag program which makes sure students don't go hungry on the weekends. Faggert says he saw there was a need and felt he had to donate something.

"Whatever number came in my mind, the conclusion was there's someone left that maybe wouldn't be fed or there would still going to be a deficit," Faggert said.

A week before the Faggerts' donation, NewsChannel 3 took action, loading up a cart with enough food to feed more than 40 students. Then we handed over 500 bucks to keep the program going.

The problem of children going hungry on the weekends isn't isolated to Virginia Beach.
In Gloucester, their shelves were getting bare, too. Once again, NewsCchannel 3 was there to help restock, and throw in even more of the boss' cash to help.

"The response has been wonderful," Faggert said. "I hope that each person who's responded would in turn give what they could."
