Newport News, Va. - A worker was hurt on Monday after a woman accidentally drove her car into the Newport News School Administration building.

At around 3:13 p.m., police say a 75-year-old woman was driving her 2004 Toyota SUV in the parking lot of the building on 12507 Warwick when she accidentally ran into the front of the building by hitting the gas instead of the brakes.

She hit a worker there, a 64-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries to his leg. He was taken to the hospital to be checked.

No charges are pending at this time.
