Fourth-year medical students at Eastern Virginia Medical School gathered today, Friday, March 21, 2014, for the annual rite of passage known as Match Day.

Match Day is when graduating students learn where they will continue their training as physicians.

During the months leading up to Match Day, the students interview at residency programs in their chosen specialty.

As part of an EVMS tradition, the students dress in costume and come together in a large auditorium at the school to learn their fate. The event is full of fun and emotion, with family and friends on hand to witness the drama.
