HRT bus catches on fire in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – A Hampton Roads Transit bus caught on fire Saturday afternoon on Ballentine Blvd.

According to a spokesperson with the Norfolk Fire Dept., the bus driver called it in around 3 p.m.  There was no one else on the bus at the time and no one was injured.

A tree next to the bus caught on fire as well but was put out.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
