A 25-year-old Newport News man has been arrested after an investigation revealed he had inappropriately touched an eight-year-old.
The victim reported to her mother that she had been touched by Cesar Zapata. Zapata was living in the same residence as the victim. Police were called to the residence on Tuesday.
The investigation also revealed that Zapata had inappropriately touched the victim a few days earlier as well.
Zapata was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
