If you were trying to travel on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel on Thursday, you may have experienced a delay.

The northbound lanes were closed for an hour on Thursday evening after a vehicle fire on North Channel Bridge.

This is the section between the northern most island and the High Rise section of the bridge.

Tom Anderson with the CBBT says it was an electrical fire inside of the vehicle that was caused by the starter.

The vehicle was destroyed but no one was injured.

There were no damages to the facility.
