Update: Portsmouth police are now looking for a vehicle that may have been involved in a homicide that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.

They are looking for a dark colored Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis that has temporary tags.

They say the driver had braids or twists in his hair. The passenger is a man who has dreadlocks.

Portsmouth, Va. - Photos of 23-year-old Delante Eley are all his family has left. Tuesday evening, his mother, Shelita Eley, says he was gunned down - shot in the face just feet from his home on Ketch Drive in Portsmouth.

"That’s where my baby died at,” Shelita Eley says as she points out the spot of grass her son was found on. “Right there."

His killer is still on the streets.

"I'm never going to see him again,” Shelita Eley says. "How could you be so cold and do that to somebody?"

Eley leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter.

"She knows that he's not coming back," Shelita Eley says.

He also leaves behind a fiancée. Shana Stoner says they were supposed to get married this summer.

"My future husband is gone and I can't do anything about it to bring him back," she says.

Earlier Tuesday, another man was murdered in Portsmouth. Police say 26-year-old Ahmad Parker was also shot, found dead inside a car off Dale Drive.

Shelita says she was just looking at pictures of Parker. She says their families are related.

"Rest in peace pictures,” Shelita says. “Two hours later I get a phone call that my son is shot and he's gone."

Portsmouth Police say a black vehicle was seen driving away after Eley was shot. They now need the public's help to find who did this.

"I just want them to get caught so they won't hurt anybody else,” Shelita Eley says. “If they know something just say something please."
