Owner of Chesapeake nail salon shot during robbery

Chesapeake, Va. – The owner of a Chesapeake nail salon was shot on Friday night during a robbery.

The shooting happened at The Nail Elegance salon located at 910 Great Bridge Blvd. around 8:13 p.m.

Police say a man wearing a ski mask came into the back of the business and took money from the nail salon and two customers.

As the robber was leaving the building through the back door, the owner was shot in the leg.

The suspect took off in an unknown direction on foot.

The victim was taken to Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
