Man wanted for robbing Langley Federal Credit Union

Hampton police are looking for the suspect responsible for robbing the Langley Federal Credit Union on Thursday. (Pictured above).

The call came in at 11:18 a.m. on Thursday, February 27. Crews responded to the 1000 block of West Mercury Boulevard.

Police say a lone suspect entered the business and passed a note to a teller, demanding U.S. currency; he implied he had a weapon. The suspect ran away from the credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency on West Mercury Boulevard.

There were patrons inside of the business at the time of the robbery, and there were no injuries.

Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting “HAMPTONPDTIPS plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
