John Hinckley, Jr., the man who tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981, will be allowed to spend more time outside of the mental hospital.

According to Reuters, Hinckley is required to stay away from government centers during the 17 days that he will be allowed out of the facility.

On Wednesday, a U.S. District Judge issued a 29-point order setting the terms for Hinckley’s time out.

Back in December, a judge accepted a recommendation from the hospital that he be allowed to leave for 17 days a month to stay with his mother in Williamsburg. This was up from the 10 days he was allowed initially.
