Two hurt in head-on collision in Suffolk, portion of Nansemond Parkway shut down

Suffolk, Va. – Two people were taken to the hospital after four cars were involved in an accident at the intersection of Nansemond Parkway and Sportsmen Boulevard on Monday.

Right now, Bennett’s Pasture Road at Nansemond Parkway and Driver Lane at Nansemond Parkway are shut down. Detour signs are in place.

Two of the vehicles involved collided head on officials say.

The accident happened at around 6:54 p.m.

A 41-year-old man and a 56-year-old man, both were the drivers in the head-on collision, were taken to the hospital. Police say one of the men sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating this accident.
