Virginia Beach, Va. - Police are looking for 18-year-old William Donald Runser, III.

Virginia Beach police say he's been on the run since last Wednesday.

That's when they say he met up with a man he knew in the Wendy's parking lot.

Investigators say things turned ugly when Runser pulled out a gun.

Police say Runser was bold. He is accused of robbing someone at gunpoint in a busy shopping center along a main road at 6:15 at night.

“We want the public to know that we do consider him armed. We do consider him dangerous if he's willing to commit an armed robbery,” says Det. Catie Wilson with Virginia Beach Police.

Runser got away with the victim's cash.

He's now charged with robbery, conspiracy, and using a firearm.

Police say Runser has cut off his dread locks and wears a shorter hairstyle now.

He has a tattoo of his name on his neck.

Tonight, police are hoping one of our NewsChannel 3 viewers will recognize him.

“We do have great success that when somebody is aired on the news, the phone, texting and web tips start flowing in, in a rapid succession,” says Wilson.

Police say William Runser, III is unemployed.

His last known address was on Bernstein Drive, but now Virginia Beach Police have him listed as homeless.
