UPDATE: Joshua Snider pleaded guilty in Williamsburg - James City County Circuit Court on August 8th to abduction, breaking and entering, strangulation, grand larceny, and eluding police. He is scheduled to be sentenced in October.

James City County, Va. - A newly released 911 call reveals scary new details about what happened the night that police say a woman was abducted by her ex-boyfriend.

According to police, the woman was held captive in her own apartment on Midlands Rd. Nov. 15.

In the 911 call, the woman can be heard telling the dispatcher, "He said he was definitely gonna die tonight, he wasn't sure whether I was, he said, but if I kept screaming and fighting that I was."

Joshua SniderPolice say the man she's referring to is Joshua Snider.

They say once he got into her apartment, he put duct tape over her mouth several times and at one point, pushed her to the floor, choking her.

The woman told the dispatcher he continued to choke her for about 20 minutes.

"He said ... he was going to have to take me out to the car because he had seen that I had texted my parents to call the cops and he said now you are gonna die tonight, we're going for a ride," the woman said in the 911 call.

Eventually, she says she was able to push him out the front door, but he got back in.

"He came all the way around and came in the back door and he duct taped my mouth shut and he was taking me out to the car and I ripped it off and smashed him in the head and screamed!"

She ran to a neighbor's house for help. That's where the 911 call was made.

Police say Snider took off in his truck but left behind a disturbing mix of items in a bag at the victim's home - including sleeping pills, rope and sex toys.

He was arrested the next day after a police chase down I-64 ending near Richmond.  He had to be taken to the hospital because police say he had stabbed himself.

As of Wednesday, he was still in the hospital recovering.
