Bond denied for man accused of killing mother and daughter in I-64 crash

UPDATE: Bond was denied for Neil Lyness Thursday morning. Lyness is scheduled to appear in court again on November 7, 2013.

Virginia Beach, Va. - The man accused of killing a Virginia Beach mother and daughter in a wrongway crash on Interstate 64 is scheduled to appear in court.

Neil Lyness has a bond hearing Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 8 a.m.

He's charged with reckless driving and two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Police say he hit and killed Sandie Amaya and her daughter, Sophie Lopez.

He crashed into their car when he drove the wrong way on Interstate 64 near Indian River Road last week.
