Virginia Beach, Va - It took a jury just an hour and a half to decide the fate of former sailor Roy Loredo -- the man who raped two Virginia Beach women, and tried to rape a third last summer.

This morning, a jury recommended that he serve five life sentences plus 141 years in prison, and a Virginia Beach judge agreed.

Between the hours of 3 and 5 in the morning on June 18th last year, officials say Roy Loredo raped two women and tried to rape a third.

They say he first approached a woman who was walking home, pulled her to the ground and dragged her into a nearby park where he raped her several times and threatened to kill her husband.

Then he went to a nearby restaurant called The Brass Bell Lounge on Independence Boulevard. He went up to a woman who was sitting in her car and yanked her out then dragged her to a secluded area. That's when a police car drove by in response to his first victim's call. The second victim was able to break free and it was all captured on the restaurant’s surveillance camera.

Officials say Loredo broke into the home of his third victim as she was getting ready for work. They say he forced her outside where he cut her face and then raped her. Police arrested him the next day at his home and collected DNA evidence. Two of the women were able to positively identify him

Meanwhile, Loredo is currently serving time for forcible sodomy of a woman two months before the Virginia Beach attacks.
