Virginia Beach, Va. (WTKR)- A Virginia Beach woman will have to wait nearly two additional months to have her animal cruelty case heard in court.

Tiffany D’Andrea is charged with 6 counts of animal cruelty, as well as 3 counts of no city license and 3 counts of no rabies vaccine.

It all stems from when D'Andrea brought cats and kittens she insists were strays into the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center earlier this year.

D’Andrea says 3 feral cats gave birth in her garage and that she left food out until the animals could be trapped and brought in.

Animal Control argues that feeding the cats made them her responsibility.

In court Monday, the case against D’Andrea was continued until November. The case had already been continued once in July.

The request for the second continuance was made by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, which has joined the case at the request of Animal Control.

D'Andrea's case is now scheduled to be heard on November 4.
