Chesapeake, Va. – The Chesapeake Department of Public Utilities will shut down water service for a brief period Tuesday night in Western Branch.

The interruption is expected to affect approximately 550 residents in the Walker’s Bend subdivision from 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A developer will be installing service mains and a water main offset on Dock Landing Road, to accommodate new storm drains.

The Department of Public Utilities says the timing of the interruption was chosen to cause as little impact as possible to residents.

Residents with questions or concerns can call the City’s Customer Contact Center at 382-CITY.
