Norfolk, Va. - Norfolk Police say a man and a woman were arrested Monday in connection with two separate bank robberies.

Police say 23-year-old Sandra S. Fenton entered the SunTrust Bank at 129 West Little Creek Road at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, demanded money, and threatened the teller with an implied weapon.

Fenton allegedly took the money and fled the bank before getting into a vehicle operated by 33-year-old Duane P. Goodson.

Chesapeake Police say Fenton and Goodson are believed to have also robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in the 800 block of Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake around 1:50 p.m., shortly after the SunTrust robbery.

Later in the afternoon, Fenton arrived for a scheduled appointment at Probation and Parole in Virginia Beach at 4:45 p.m. She was identified as a suspect in the SunTrust robbery, and arrested by investigators.

After being transported to the Norfolk Police Operations Center, Goodson was identified as the second suspect and he was arrested later in the evening in the 1000 block of Mahone Avenue in Norfolk.

Both suspects were also identified as suspects in the robbery of the PNC Bank at 870 North Military Highway on July 23rd.

Fenton is charged with Robbery (two counts), Conspiracy to Commit Robbery (two counts), Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony (two counts), and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon (two counts).

Goodson is charged with Robbery (two counts), Conspiracy to Commit Robbery (two counts), Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony (two counts), and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon (two counts).

Both remain in the Norfolk City Jail. The investigation continues and additional charges are pending in connection with the Chesapeake Wells Fargo robbery.
