The linebacker talks about getting the season started, Tribe defense – and being picked ninth in the pre-season.

Kevin Rogers
The Tribe's new offensive coordinator talks about quarterback competition and his style offense.
"I think we ran the ball pretty good last spring. I think we're a work in progress."
Barry Goodman
The Nansemond Suffolk grad talks about earning a starting position on the line, and about the new offense the Tribe will install.
"Personally, I just want to continue to work hard on my foot work and strength, and just help out everyone else on the team. I'm extremely excited, we have all worked hard."
Matt Crisafi
The Tribe captain and All-CAA candidate talks about his new role as team leader, and how they plan to turn around a 2 - 9 year.
"Being voted captain was something that I have really been striving for. I want to be a leader vocally, and by my actions, on and off the field."
Raphael Ortiz
The Tribe quarterback talks about the competition, his injury, lessons learned from last year, and being picked to finish ninth.
"I'm just trying to prove I can stay healthy, and beat the system."
Tre McBride
The Tribe wide receiver talks about improving the offense and his style of play.
"It's all about the chemistry, as a whole. We'll play the game. Whatever opportunities are given, we'll take those opportunities."
Jimmye Laycock, head coach
The head coach in his 34th season talks about this year, last year, and who will start behind center this year.
"Well, every year is different. That's one of the things about college football - different strengths, different weaknesses."
Jerome Couplin III
The Tribe captain talks about this year and whether or not there is more pressure on the defense to 'step it up'.
"It feels great, it feels amazing. I'm excited to just be here. Just getting back on the field, the last go around, you know. Making sure everybody does their job, they know what to do, and how to do it, not just about particular plays."
