Chesapeake, Va. - The Buffalow Family sponsored its 3rd annual back-to-school drive and giveaway in Chesapeake’s South-Norfolk neighborhood.
The event was held on Thursday, August 1. This year’s goal was to have enough backpacks and supplies for 300 kids.
Only 25 percent of supplies and money was reached during Thursday's event, according to Nischelle Buffalow, event coordinator.
The organization is still accepting donations.

pen
pencils
colored pencils
markers
binders
dividers
This fundraising event has grown since it started in August of 2011. Back then, 100 students were helped. Last year it was 250.
