One killed, another wounded in separate shootings in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. - One man was killed and another wounded in separate shootings in Norfolk Sunday night.

The first man was shot around 9pm inside a home on Lead Street, not far from Jacox Elementary School.

The man was conscious and speaking to fire responders when they arrived. He is now in the hospital.

So far police say they don't know who shot him, nor do they have a motive in the shooting.

The second shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 9600 block of 19th Bay street.

That man died from his injuries at a local hospital. Police are investigating that case as a homicide.
