A black bear yearling was released from the Wildlife Center of Virginia today.

Naturally, she had to be sedated for the release.

The bear was found on the 18th just down the street from the Wildlife Center.

She’d been hit by a car and they had to pull her out of a ditch.

Originally doctors thought she may have some spinal damage, but she was OK.

After a week and a half of observation, she was cleared to be released back into the wild.

As for the 14 bear cubs at the center, they’re still growing!

Right now, they’re still split up into different pens based on their size.

The center is working to build a bigger habitat for the bears but they need your help.
