A warrant has been issued for Marcus Vick’s arrest after he failed to appear for another court hearing in Montgomery County this week.

According to the Roanoke Times, Vick, 29, was found in contempt of court in January and ordered to spend five days in a Roanoke jail for not providing financial documents.

Vick’s financial statements are periodically sought by the plaintiff, Barbara Ferguson, after Vick signed a promissory note for $40,000 in September 2008, but never paid the judgment.

Vick did not show up for a hearing in February and was then issued a show cause notice by Carroll County Circuit Court Judge Brett Geisler.

According to Ferguson’s lawyer, Kris Olin, Vick was supposed to appear in circuit court on Monday to explain his February absence and explain why he has not paid any attorney fees.

Once Vick is arrested, a hearing will be scheduled in Montgomery County.

Lawyers say police will not be actively searching for Vick in Virginia or any other state.
