Manassas, Va. - A restaurant in Manassas, Virginia apologized to some police officers for refusing to serve them because they were carrying guns.

The eight officers were asked to leave a Buffalo Wild Wings recently because of a 'no gun' policy.

Restaurant officials say the officers were not in uniform, but were wearing badges.

The restaurant says there's no question both the waitress and manager knew they were police officers.

So to apologize - the restaurant has pledged to donate 10 percent of sales to the non-profit Law Enforcement United.

The charity helps the children of fallen officers.

Police officers have accepted the apology.
