ODU Lady Monarchs take on Cavaliers

One goal separated the Old Dominion University women’s lacrosse team from No. 9 Virginia at halftime, as the Cavaliers were able to use a strong start to the second half and hold on late for a 16-12 win at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex on Wednesday night.

Ashmore Standing, Cape Henry grad, scored twice for the Lady Monarchs.

The Lady Monarchs continue their home stretch on Saturday, as they host Oregon at 11 a.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
