Suffolk, Va. – A suspect has now been identified after a 24-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday morning at the Cogic Square Apartments on Stacey Drive.

Police are searching for 20-year-old Monte Robinson.

Robinson’s last known address is in the 900 block of Davis Boulevard in Suffolk.

Robinson is wanted on charges of First Degree Murder, Stab Cut or Wound, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Reckless Handling of a Firearm.

Police had initially responded to a call of a person with a gun at the complex around 2 a.m., and dispersed a disorderly crowd at the apartments.

30 minutes later, officers in the area heard shots fired – and found Angelo Fleming Beale with a gunshot wound to the face. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Anyone with information on Robinson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up. When calling Crime Line, callers do not have to give their names or appear in court. If information leads to an arrest, the caller could qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
