Two service members killed in Afghanistan

The names of two fallen service members have been released.

Both died after getting hurt in Afghanistan.

The Navy lost Chief Petty Officer Christian Pike.

The 31-year old died Wednesday in Germany as a result of combat-related injuries sustained on March 10.

Pike was assigned to a west coast-based Naval Special Warfare Unit.

26-year-old David Proctor of Greensboro, North Carolina died Wednesday at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.

The army specialist died as a result of a non-combat related incident that happened March 3 in Kandahar.
