Norfolk man arrested for string of robberies

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police have arrested a man for a string of robberies along Hampton Blvd. and Tide Water Drive.

Michael B. Wayne of Norfolk has been charged with one count of Abduction-Extort Money or Immoral Purpose, three counts of Robbery and one count of Possession of Controlled Substance.

Police say the robberies date back several months and ask if anyone recognizes him from other robberies to call the Norfolk Police Robbery Squad  at 757-664-7032 or 757-664-7000

Wayne is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail on no bond.
