USS Freedom becomes first Navy ship painted in camouflage pattern since WWII

During the first and second World Wars it was common for the Navy to paint ships in camouflage patterns.

The Navy is reviving that tradition with the first Littoral Combat Ship, the USS Freedom, with special color-shifting paint. Check out this time-lapse video of the ship being painted, and compare to what the ship looked like without paint.
