The remains of a soldier who disappeared during the Korean War have been returned to his family.

The flag-draped coffin with the remains of Army Private First Class Roosevelt Clark arrived yesterday in Los Angeles.

Clark was just 18-years-old back in 1950 when he was reported missing in action while fighting with the 35th Infantry Regiment in North Korea.

His remains were included in more than 200 boxes of human remains thought to be those of US servicemen.

Scientists identified Clark using dental comparisons, as well as DNA, which matched Clark's aunt and uncle.
