UPDATE: Hampton police say Yukana Humbert was located out of state unharmed and has returned to the area.

Hampton, Va. – Linda Humbert clings to her nine-month-old granddaughter.

Her tears are brought on because her daughter, Yukana Humbert, has been missing since Friday night.

“We’re not understanding none of what happened,” Humbert said. “We really need to know, not knowing is causing us a lot of problems.”

The 22-year-old is known by family and friends as Connie.

They say it’s out of character for the mother of three to be unreachable for hours, let alone days.

They last saw her at the bus stop on January 11th.

They’ve all called Connie, trying to get ahold of her, hoping she’s safe.
Sunday night Connie left this voicemail.

“I’ll be home tomorrow so please stop worrying. Thank you,” Connie said in the voicemail to her mother.

“She sound like she was crying,” Mary Thompson, Connie’s aunt said. “So I’m like wait a minute. I stood there and pressed this phone for five or six times to listen to her, that’s not Connie. She don’t even talk to her momma like that.”

The message didn’t bring relief, but more worry.

And that worry has turned into fear.

For Linda, it’s tough to stay strong.

She at times needs help just getting around, the sadness and worry which started off as an emotional problem is now taking a physical toll.

“She don’t have the strength. My sister don’t have the strength,” Thompson said.

Connie’s been missing for four days.

Her three children don’t fully understand what’s wrong.

They just want to see their mother again.

“These babies, right behind her, crying. they want their mother,” Thompson said.

“The child didn’t want to go to school this morning because he said I know my momma coming home.”
